Resolution: Since the filter uses a gaussian derivative, it is generally more effective with higher resolution video. In other words, the finer the dots, the more effect the filter will have. The standard deviation will control this, with a lower value allowing for a finer resolution. The 0-50 band should always have a very low value so that its hue boundaries remain clear. Resolution Dependency: If you want to use the filter with video of lower resolution, just raise the standard deviation of the bands you want to use. This is because the gaussian derivative will smooth the transition between the luminescence bands and the original colour more with a higher resolution. Filter Speed: Most common settings work fine, but there's a bug that can cause a slight blurring effect, especially on the high intensity bands. This can be fixed by using a low value of std.dev for the band you want to use. This bug is present for Windows XP only, but it is not a big problem. It does not affect the usability of the filter.
